Happy Halloween!
I'm going to wish you all Happy Halloween today since I will not post until after this crazy holiday... crazy because Mommy says I get to dress up and show all my friends how cute I am. She also says that they will probably give me candy, but that I'm not allowed any this year - Seriously? Maybe my Grandma will sneak me some!
Oh yeah, did you hear that my Nana (Cathy) is coming for 2 whole weeks? She decided she just couldn't wait until January to see me, but really, can you blame her?
Here are the highlights of our week:
Mommy started putting pig tails in my hair. I think it looks a bit silly, but everyone tells me that it is so cute - especially all the ladies we had coffee with this week. And Daddy likes them, so that's important!
We got the name of a guy who will help us ship Daisy home and make sure she is very well taken care of. She will be arriving in Minnesota in the next 2-3 weeks and then in South Dakota after Thanksgiving. Thank you all for taking good care of my puppy until I get home!
We spent an evening at the bowling alley, which we have not done in a very long time. I loved running around talking to people, watching the balls and pins work, and playing with Sophia.
I got to go to my very first "friend" birthday part this weekend. Arabella (we've done the play date thing before) just turned ONE and she had a really cool party. It was a Farm theme and there were LOTS of people there. I think she was a bit overwhelmed, but I loved the ball pit she had there and spent all my time in it! She had balloons, food, cupcakes, party favors, pinata (w/ chocolate inside - luckily Mommy didn't figure this out right away ;), a cool play area, and she got lots of great presents. Boy did it wear me out though.
We also carved our pumpkin this weekend. We carved with Clint and Alicia at their house. Mommy helped me clean out the pumpkin and Daddy carved the face. We opted for a "traditional" jack-o-lantern this year and I think he's lots of fun.
And finally, we went to dinner to celebrate Robert's bday this weekend (his wife and Mommy are friends and they have the baby Kaelyn, who I talked about last week). It was a very busy but very enjoyable weekend and I am very tired! We also changed our clocks yesterday so I think I'm still adjusting.
This week, Mommy and I are getting ready for Grandma's visit and planning my birthday party. We have lots of little errands to run because we are also getting ready to leave for Ireland next Monday. I'm really excited for another vacation!
Until then, be well!
Love, Madelyn et. al.
