February seems to be flying by, probably mostly because we are dreading Mommy's return to work. Although she is excited to "get back to it", she is having trouble with the idea of parting with me for so very long every day. Luckily, she will have two 1/2 days where I'll get to see more of her along with our weekends!
Did I mention my babies do EVERYTHING with me?
Today I gave daycare a test-run while Mommy went to fill out paperwork for her job. I was so very excited to play with all the kids, I didn't mind one bit when she left. I was there about 3 hours and my teacher (who is very sweet) said I was really good, never cried, and very smart impressing her with using LOTS of words! **Ah the curse of having a speechie mom :) As if that actually has anything to do with it! Once I saw Mommy though, game over, tears (of joy) broke out and I was ready to part, quick to tell all the kids "Nigh, Nigh" Last night was bit rough and I had to get waken to go this morning, so I was very ready to come home and take a nap.
Mommy's shoes!
This week I helped Mommy bake cookies. Okay, so she has decided I may be a little young for this, but we had fun anyway. I got to taste all the ingredients (getting a lil cranky when Mommy wouldn't let me eat raw egg), and then enjoyed the sweet reward of warm chocolate chip cookies!
PLEASE! Mmmm, Cookies!
Daddy worked on his garage and is almost done. Mommy thinks the garage looks better than the house at this point, but she will get her day :o) His shelves worked out beautifully and give us a lot more room out there!
Daddy even made himself a work bench!Ha, ha, Daisy wanted to be part of the blog too :)
Yay... the doorbell just rang and my final piece to my bedroom is here! You will soon get to see my awesome domain!!!!
Well, I leave you this week with a little video of me loving my swing. We only wish Spring would stay instead of teasing us for a day or two and returning to freezing. I know summer will arrive some day...
PS. I believe dinner time induce the moodiness at the end.
We've only had one really gorgeous day, but we took advantage. Daddy bought me a swing and I LOVED it! Hopefully Spring is right around the corner and it will start warming up.
Wow, My Mommy goes to work in just 2 short weeks! We have gotten so much done and yet still have so much to do. I'm still not sure where I'm headed while she is working, but we are going to go and visit a couple places tomorrow to get it all straightened out. Wonder what I'll think of daycare every day?
A few pictures to share. So many people have been wanting to see the house that we decided to share a couple more photos today and continue to update as we get things finished (more paint, furniture delivered, drapes, decorating done)... remember, this is a work in progress people!
Living Room from hall/front entry. (Maddy's play room to the right) Kitchen.Table/ Dining area (in kitchen). Living room from the kitchen.
I am saving my bedroom until it is all done. Although this is the one room Mommy and Auntie spent the most time in, the biggest and best finishing touch is still coming so you must wait. I can't wait to share it though! Daddy has also been working a lot on his garage so we'll share how great he is making that look next week too!
Hmm, triplets? Getting ready to meet the Johnson clan I suppose!
(Friends from England found out they are expecting Triplets... 2 boys and 1 girl maybe?)
Nothing much new with me this week. I can finally see those nasty molars on the top that I've been working on. They are not all the way through though and the bottom ones are starting so I do get a little cranky and chew all the time! I am also continuing with my baby craze (seriously making Mommy laugh!). Baby MUST go everywhere with me. All weekend while we were shopping I took my baby(doesn't matter which one) into ever store. I even stopped in one store, put baby down on the floor, and told Mommy "Shhhh" cause the baby was sleeping :) I excitedly take one baby to bed every night and am loading it up with kisses every morning. Mommy gets a little jealous at times.
I help with EVERYTHING! This day, Groceries.
(Don't mind the baby on the floor...)
Big helper!
Love you all- until next week! Madelyn (Shaye, Jody, and Daisy)
Yep, today I am 15 months old! Wow, how fast the time goes. I'm still working on my molars, but they seem to be making me a little less cranky. I'm also getting my sleep schedule worked out, of course now that Mommy made that statement... Other than that I am busy, busy, BUSY! Words, climbing, running, puzzles, books, I never stop.
This week has been lots of fun as my Aunt Jess flew in on Sunday to help Mommy paint. I can't wait to see my bedroom all finished! Although they have been doing LOTS of work, you won't get pictures of that today... details people, details. However, Mommy decided it was time to post my Bathroom. I LOVE "Sish!"
I love this room. "Tubby time" is my favorite!
I got to help Mommy put all the fish on the wall. Didn't I do great? **Mommy lesson: Allowing a toddler to help apply stickers to bathroom wall = a daily removal to show me just how well they work! :)
Auntie got here in time for the Super Bowl so we enjoyed the game from Mommy and Daddy's bedroom. We are suppose to get a T.V. for the living room but Daddy hasn't decided what he wants yet. Good thing their bedroom is so big! Oh, my Auntie also bought me these amazing sugar cookies that I ask for daily... I love Aunties! Finally, this week I have VIDEOS! I have some new obsessions which include: Babies (Mommy finds them sleeping in kitchen cupboards), jumping, Daisy (always first to get a greeting or kiss and always excited to come home to), cookies, and I'm sure more that I can't think of right now :)
Video 1: Babies! P.S. At the end I ask Daddy "uppy" Mommy's obsession with politeness has turned into one fast word, Instead of saying "up please."
Video 2: Playing with Daisy (This floor is sooo slippery). My puppy always triggers my giggle button.
Video 3: Jump! I am so pleased with my developing skills ;0)
Loving Memories and prayers go out to all my family as we celebrate the life of my Great-Great-Grandpa Gillis. He had a wonderful and full life approaching the ripe age of 103 this April. We cherish all our time together and I am so thankful I was able to meet and spend time with him this past summer. Love you Grandpa!
Okay, so no one goes through anymore Maddy withdrawls (Papa...), here is a quick post. Unfortunately, with all the moving mania Mommy has not taken very many pictures, but we'll share what we can :)
Before leaving for Texas, Mommy and Daddy got to have a very grown-up night with Chris and Sarah. It was mine and Mommy's first night apart! I got to spend it with Nana and Papa who were pleased they managed to get me to sleep through the night (10 full hours). Mommy still hasn't gotten me back on a schedule like this. Nana was so worried, she kept checking on me afraid that something had happened :)
Chris and Sarah
I had a really great trip down to Texas. I road very well, using my Elmo movies any time I needed a distraction. Actually, I am Elmo's biggest fan. I pretty much ask for him by name on a daily basis now. (Uh oh, what kind of a habit has this originally "no t.v. Mommy" started?)
We made 10.5 hours of driving in 15 hours. Not too bad, considering we got to stop by and see my Auntie Macie, Blake and Cousin Koevin!! (Again, Mommy with the pics) We get to go back and see them soon when Macie and Blake get married, so I am so excited and will take pictures then!!
We stayed one night just inside the border of Texas and then drove the next day arriving at our New Home! I love my bedroom, it was the first place I headed. Mommy and my Auntie are going to paint it up special just for me. Speaking of, Mommy is just finishing the first room; my bathroom, it will be done today and I really love it! Pictures of that next week for sure! Daisy and I also LOVE our backyard. Although the swingset is a bit too large, I know I will love it soon, especially after Daddy buys me my very own swing.
Camping on the air mattress before our stuff arrived. Loving Daisy kisses too! I got to have a tubby in Mommy and Daddy's big tub while my bathroom is "under construction"
Moving is crazy. I spent the big moving day at a nice lady's that Mommy got ahold of through the base. She has a 3 year old and I had a very busy day with lots of fun. I got to play with a water table and finger paint! I hope to go back at least one day while Auntie is here helping paint.
We are still sorting and putting away. I am doing my part in "helping" but I overheard Mommy telling Daddy that she needs more nap hours to get it all done. Apparently, she doesn't like where I put things. (You should have seen my excitement when I got all my toys back!) Daddy returned to work yesterday and is still "in-processing." He is surprised by how many people are in the shop here. He also got put with the B-1's instead of the C-130's as originally thought but no matter. Only time will tell how the new job is going to be, but so far he is optimistic.
Video: Moving day. Could've been better.... but our stuff is here. No major damage and nothing missing (so far), for that, we are very thankful!
In other news, I AM SO SMART! I am using so many new words every day and am even starting to put two words together. Trust Mommy when she says "WAY TO GO MADELYN" I am full of so many surprises. I copy all kinds of things now and my independence with everything shines through more and more each day. Aside from my great language skills, I am perfecting my "jump," hopefully to be caught on video one day soon. Mommy truely believe that I am amazing :)
Thanks to my Auntie I know I like "dipping" and when done with my food, I make sure every last drop is gone ;)
Finally, I am working on my molars. Although this makes for some cranky days and nights, Mommy is excited for me to start chewing my food better so hopefully they finish popping through real soon. This past weekend, I also had an accident which warranted a trip to Urgent Care. Mommy was helping me up by my hands when I let go of one of her hands to reach for a toy and my elbow popped out of place. I was okay, in some discomfort and wouldn't use my arm (which is how she new somthing had happened), but Mommy was a HOT MESS! The doctor says this actually happens a lot (making Mommy feel Not any better), popped it back into place and I was fine. Mommy has heard of so many more stories of kids this has happened to after sharing her experience, but still thinks it is pretty crazy. She is so afraid to even hold my hand anymore but I keep telling her that I am fine....
Until next week, and Mommy promises to get back on a schedule with this blog! Madelyn et. al.
