Busy Bees...

"All done" Mmm, I love ketchup!

Okay, so no one goes through anymore Maddy withdrawls (Papa...), here is a quick post. Unfortunately, with all the moving mania Mommy has not taken very many pictures, but we'll share what we can :)

Before leaving for Texas, Mommy and Daddy got to have a very grown-up night with Chris and Sarah. It was mine and Mommy's first night apart! I got to spend it with Nana and Papa who were pleased they managed to get me to sleep through the night (10 full hours). Mommy still hasn't gotten me back on a schedule like this. Nana was so worried, she kept checking on me afraid that something had happened :)

Chris and Sarah

I had a really great trip down to Texas. I road very well, using my Elmo movies any time I needed a distraction. Actually, I am Elmo's biggest fan. I pretty much ask for him by name on a daily basis now. (Uh oh, what kind of a habit has this originally "no t.v. Mommy" started?)

We made 10.5 hours of driving in 15 hours. Not too bad, considering we got to stop by and see my Auntie Macie, Blake and Cousin Koevin!! (Again, Mommy with the pics) We get to go back and see them soon when Macie and Blake get married, so I am so excited and will take pictures then!!

We stayed one night just inside the border of Texas and then drove the next day arriving at our New Home! I love my bedroom, it was the first place I headed. Mommy and my Auntie are going to paint it up special just for me. Speaking of, Mommy is just finishing the first room; my bathroom, it will be done today and I really love it! Pictures of that next week for sure! Daisy and I also LOVE our backyard. Although the swingset is a bit too large, I know I will love it soon, especially after Daddy buys me my very own swing.

Camping on the air mattress before our stuff arrived.
Loving Daisy kisses too!

I got to have a tubby in Mommy and Daddy's
big tub while my bathroom is "under construction"

Moving is crazy. I spent the big moving day at a nice lady's that Mommy got ahold of through the base. She has a 3 year old and I had a very busy day with lots of fun. I got to play with a water table and finger paint! I hope to go back at least one day while Auntie is here helping paint.

We are still sorting and putting away. I am doing my part in "helping" but I overheard Mommy telling Daddy that she needs more nap hours to get it all done. Apparently, she doesn't like where I put things. (You should have seen my excitement when I got all my toys back!) Daddy returned to work yesterday and is still "in-processing." He is surprised by how many people are in the shop here. He also got put with the B-1's instead of the C-130's as originally thought but no matter. Only time will tell how the new job is going to be, but so far he is optimistic.

Video: Moving day. Could've been better.... but our stuff is here. No major damage and
nothing missing (so far), for that, we are very thankful!

In other news, I AM SO SMART! I am using so many new words every day and am even starting to put two words together. Trust Mommy when she says "WAY TO GO MADELYN" I am full of so many surprises. I copy all kinds of things now and my independence with everything shines through more and more each day. Aside from my great language skills, I am perfecting my "jump," hopefully to be caught on video one day soon. Mommy truely believe that I am amazing :)

Thanks to my Auntie I know I like "dipping"
and when done with my food, I make sure
every last drop is gone ;)

Finally, I am working on my molars. Although this makes for some cranky days and nights, Mommy is excited for me to start chewing my food better so hopefully they finish popping through real soon. This past weekend, I also had an accident which warranted a trip to Urgent Care. Mommy was helping me up by my hands when I let go of one of her hands to reach for a toy and my elbow popped out of place. I was okay, in some discomfort and wouldn't use my arm (which is how she new somthing had happened), but Mommy was a HOT MESS! The doctor says this actually happens a lot (making Mommy feel Not any better), popped it back into place and I was fine. Mommy has heard of so many more stories of kids this has happened to after sharing her experience, but still thinks it is pretty crazy. She is so afraid to even hold my hand anymore but I keep telling her that I am fine....

Until next week, and Mommy promises to get back on a schedule with this blog!

Hello Again (finally)!

Whew, we have had an amazing couple of weeks visiting everyone an enjoying the time we have off until we "get back to it" and Mommy and Daddy go to work at the new house. I have so much to share, I don't even know where to begin... I think I'll just post pictures and let you take it all in!

The plane ride went well coming home. Although I didn't sleep much, Mommy and Daddy said I was a "9" - out of 10 I suppose that is pretty good. Daddy and I had some coffee at the airport while waiting for our plane :)

Thank you Aunt Jess for posting 2 weeks ago. I had so much fun at her house after I got on some antibiotics and am feeling really good these days. Our trip was delayed a bit with all the snow and -40 degree weather - yes, England friends, I had forgotten what cold really was! We did finally make to Sioux Falls for a night to swim with my cousins though!

Learning to back-float!

Cousins Keshia(left) and Phoenix (w/me) at the water park.

Cousins Callie and Makia... silly girls!

My Aunt Nikki.

Everywhere I go I get to have Christmas! I think it has finally died down, but man, it has been GREAT!

New ELMO movie.
Mommy and Daddy love these in the car
(even if my attn. span has not surpassed 10 minutes).

Aren't I stunning?

Every Texan needs a good Hat!

I am a girl who loves my food! I found that when a spoon just isn't quite cutting it, you can drink yogurt...

but it can be messy!

My Uncle Chad likes to give me cheese (one of my FAVORITE foods) when I see him. I have now started saying "cheese" every time I see him... he has been now and forever dubbed... "Uncle Cheese" :)

[PS> Daisy and I are so happy to be reunited!
I haven't stopped kissing and hugging the puppies since I've been home!]

I've gotten to spend lots of time with friends on playdates. I LOVE kids within my age range (6 mos-3 yrs) and am having so much fun with them all!! Silly Mommy keeps forgetting to take pictures of them all though. I'll keep trying to remind her!

I've also gotten to spend some time at Papa's shop working outside (now that the weather is nicer). I have my very own 4-wheeler and love playing in the mud with the puppies. I also am a very good helper.

Workin' on Papa's truck with him and Daddy.
(We are pounding that dent out that a deer left behind :)

I'm suppose to sit on it? I like pushing it!

Well, other than hanging out with loads of family, that is about what I've been up to. Mommy promises to get better about posting and it going to round up some more pictures because SO much more has been going on...

Keep checking back and I'll be on here again real soon!

Love to you all,

And We're Off....

Well we made it to MN!! It was such a long trip, but I was the best traveler. We finally got to the airport in MN and found my auntie at the baggage claim. I don't think we look that bad after traveling for soooo long....

My auntie thought I looked a little "rough". Did she think I was going to show up looking as cute as ever when I am tired, hungry and sick? Well they all decided I was sick enough to take me to the Dr. The ER wait was suppose to be 15 minutes at the place where auntie works, guess what....we were there 2 hours!! You'd think auntie would have had enough pull to get us seen a little quicker. Oh well it was worth it, I have been on antibiotics for 3 days now for the start of an ear infection, and some fluid in my lung and I feel so much better.

Here I am heading outside into the MN cold for the first time...it never made it above 10 degrees the whole time I was there. I have no idea how my auntie lives there, maybe she will move to TX? Or at least visit a lot!

After some medicine, a good night's sleep, and some food I was starting to get back to my "normal" self! Auntie or "Jess" as I like to call her gave me a bath and a new hairstyle, she was kind of obsessed with my hair that day.....

...she even trimmed my bangs so they weren't hanging in my eyes anymore. At first I wasn't sure what she was doing, but now I can see so much better and they don't tickle my eyes and nose any more. Mommy is not so sure about auntie's cutting skills.

I spent most of my time in MN playing, exploring aunties house and all of her nonkid things, cuddling and watching a movie, eating, shopping at the Mall of America (it is ridiculous how big this place is and everything they have), seeing my great aunt and uncle Dan and Darcy (Darcy is so much fun, we became pals) and shopping at Target (great stuff there). Mommy and daddy got new phones to talk on and they even have the Internet. It is great we can look lots of things up!

Well we spent an extra day in MN because of this crazy weather they have! It was so cold and snowy they had to close the interstate in MN and SD. I was bummed because I was heading to see my cousins in SD. We watched closely and the roads finally opened up on Friday afternoon, so we headed out. I am not sure how all of these road trips are going to go, but I got a movie player for the car and some movies, snacks, books and my blankie and so far this is the way to travel.....

I am not sure where Daisy is going to sit?

I can't wait to see everyone! It might be next week late or that Monday (the 18th) before mommy can update the blog again because of all of this traveling, so be patient because I know I am going to have great stories to tell after all of these adventures...

On the road! Oh and don't worry daddy is a great driver...see you soon!!

Hugs and Kisses
