6 Month Stats

Thanks for waiting and here they are:

I weighed in at 16 lbs 6 oz

I stretched out to 26.5 inches

(They are 75th and 50th %ile on the growth chart... can't remember which is which, but I think 75 height, 50 weight)

and they measure your head too... mine is growing, growing, growing = smart baby :)

The doctor also congratulated Mommy for having a baby with separation anxiety 2 months ahead of schedule.

Finally, he said Mommy is allowed to let me cry... Can you believe that?!? He says I have to stop manipulating her at night. He told her I can easily go 6-7 hours uninterrupted. I really wish he wouldn't of told her my secret, I really enjoy seeing her every 2 -4 hours at night!

BTW, I don't have to go back for anymore of those nasty shots until 12 months!!
Love to you all,
Maddy et. al.

** Mommy note: I keep forgetting to tell you that Shaye will be having a procedure on his back on Tuesday (19th). They are going to do some injections to try and help manage the pain he is having. We went to see his surgeon last week and yes, his disc is bulging again but the Doc doesn't believe it is severe enough to warrant another operation at this time. So keep him in your thoughts Tuesday.

Six Months....Already?

I am 6 months old! Can you believe it?
This week went by and was very uneventful. We ate, slept, played, went for walks, and worked (well, I went to Ms. Maureens). Daddy was gone Thurs - Sat for work and Mommy and I went to Neil and Rachels for dinner Friday night. I had so much fun smiling at all the people (they had group over). On Saturday, Mommy, Ms. Misty, and I did a little shopping for Baby Finkle (arriving in June).

Mommy finally took some pictures of me showing my skills at holding a bottle. (I've been doing this for quite a while now)

Well Sunday was a bit more exciting. I tried to get Mommy up to play at 5:30, but Daddy took me downstairs for some fun and we let Mommy sleep in a little. She said it was nice until she had to provide a little backup. Let's just say we had a little poo incident and Daddy gets a little gaggy sometimes... Mommy and I generally laugh at him :)

The flowers are so beautiful in Bury.

We then went to Bury to take some pictures. This was my 6-month birthday so Ms. Teresa set up a photo date with us. I got to pose some and then we took some family pictures too. Mommy says we will post some of these later - she is getting them from Ms. Teresa tomorrow. It was a beautiful day and I even got to sport a sundress!! Finally, we took Mommy to dinner (where I passed out) and then I went to bed and let Mommy and Daddy watch a movie.

Me at the restaurant :)

Sorry there is not too much going on... more to come though, my doctor's appt is tomorrow and I'll update with my new digits!

Love to you all,
Shaye, Jody, Madelyn, and Daisy

Making Mommy Proud

Hello! What a crazy week... by Thursday, Mommy said she REALLY needed one night with some sleep, so I finally gave her some. Turns out, I've been having some tummy troubles. Lots of "wind" as my babysitter puts it (how embarrassing). I think I just need to get used to these solids, but I LOVE 'em!!
Mmmm, peas!

This weekend was probably the busiest we were all week. They had another Bazaar (vendors from all over come and sell things) and Daddy and Mommy finally bought stuff. One of those things being some nice bone china. Apparantly, they've been talking about it... well, they had a nice pattern picked out and then when they started to talk to the salesman guess what it was called???? YEP, Madeleine! (And they even pronounced it like my name) Ironic huh :)
We also got to help Ms. Rachel celebrate her birthday (even though it is not until tomorrow). We went to her house and were waiting to surprise her when she got home from the spa Saturday night. I was in a very good mood and we had a great time! Good food, good fun, and great friends!

Mommy just had to make me wear the hat!

Other random things about me (of course):
- I've gotten really good at babbling and like to "talk" all the time (with the exception of the on the phone, I'm really more interested in eating that). **This is the proud Mommy part!
- I finally figured out the tummy to back roll over!

- I like to scoot, whether on my back or on my belly, I am able to spin circles and move all over (don't have to baby proof quite yet, but it is coming soon!)
- I am a veggie girl. Not a big fan of the fruits. Oh, and Mommy has done it, she is making her own baby food and I am liking it lots!
- I'm so good at sitting, I don't even mind (too much) if I fall sideways or forward. I usually catch myself but Mommy still insists on pillows. Okay, so once in a while I go face first and it's not that fun...
- I tried out a new bath tub. It allows me to sit safely, um, but not much else. Not sure any of us are a big fan. Any ideas are welcome. I want to sit safely, get clean, and still be able to splash and play.
- Oh yeah, I like kisses :) They make me laugh (and I always seem to eat my hand when I start to laugh).

Daisy and I are best friends. She likes to sneak kisses (even though Mommy and Daddy tell her no) and she lets me grab her jowls without complaining. Although the other day when I started to get close from scooting, I did notice she found somewhere else to lay. Hmmm?

Okay, I'm leaving you with a video of my chatter. I'm annoyingly naked because Mommy won't dress me for the day until after breakfast. I guess I'm a little messy :)

Love you all,
Maddy et. al.
